04klr aux. lights

I saw some posts recently on aux driving lights. I'm new to the klr and if I understand the post you have to watch the current draw on any lights you use.? Can someone explain and/or tell me want my amp draw max is? Also where can I find info on the headlight modulators and can someone recommend good v. bad ones. Thanks
