It's the break-in period indicator. When the sound occurs, it means your bike has completed the break-in process and can now be driven normally. It's sorta like a pop-up timer on a Turkey. Actually, the tweety exhaust is what they call an "undocumented feature." Mark http://www.reelrider.com

This is what I use and am very happy with them. I use the dual sport ones, part # 3850. http://www.chaseharper.com/NewHot.htm These really did a job on my side covers in just a few miles. The silver heat sheild material is worse than sandpaper. I'm not sure what to do now. Mark Lewis
