In my case it is my lovely ISP, when I used to be allowed to send mail directly from my own server they posted instantaneously. I'm stuck using comcast's server outgoing now and it runs from instant to three days before my mail is delivered now. They told me I have to use their servers 'in the interest of reliability' HAH, that's what made me put my own server up to begin with.
