Do they tend to run large or small? I'm considering either the Trekker or the Discovery. I'm a borderline XL - XXL and I'm not sure which size to get. I plan on wearing the jacket mostly with the liner in it for winter riding. I received one opinion already, buy I'd like to hear more stories just in case my source is a disproportionate freak...LOL (thanks for your input Paul). Thanks, Mark

I guess my answer is that they run small. I'm usually a large and find the XLs fit well. I love the jackets. -----Original Message----- From: Tengai Mark Van Horn [mailto:Tengai650@...] Sent: Thursday, October 23, 2003 1:28 PM To: Peter Dahlheimer, MD Cc: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: While we're talking Belstaff Jackets NKLR Do they tend to run large or small? They seem to run small. Mine is an XL, but an XXL would have been a better fit. Don Detloff Fair Haven, MI USA '00 KLR650 '00 Triumph Sprint RS '64 Yamaha Trail 80 (Ret.) --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, Tengai Mark Van Horn wrote:

There is a series of maps for all the states called Gazeteers. They are a large format book like a standard road atlas, and are based on the quads but at a larger scale and without the topo information. About $20. There should be a FS map for the Allegheny NF. If you're into hitech, many of the GPS receivers can download and store maps, as well as helping you to find your way home. There is also the DeLorme (and others) map apps so you can print your own maps on demand. You have to watch these, as they derive from older quads and sometimes show some real imaginary stuff. Around here, if it doesn't have a gate or prominent closure notice, it's legal but that's probably not the case back east.

I'd go with the 2XL. I'm 5' 11", 240lbs, borderline XL - XXL. I dropped 49 lbs since January, but rather than buy something for me to shrink into, I decided to grab an XXL. Last night, I used "buy-it-now" on a new Belstaff Discovery on ebay for $149. I figure at that price, I can buy another one in a smaller size next year as I reach my goal weight of 190lbs.
