Greetings all... I'm getting ready to mount an older generation of
Jesse Bags (thanks for the great deal wonholly!) on my A12 and
would like to hear how other riders with Jesse's have relocated
the rear turn signals. Gracias!!

into the "abyss"... now what? help!
Of course, it had to happen. Things were going waaay too smoothly with
my valve adjustment. Only the left in. and ex. needed replacement. I
had just removed the intake shim, and was working on the stubborn
exhaust when I read that I should use a fine jeweller's screwdriver to
lift the shim. I couldn't persuade the cup to rotate so the slot was
accessible, so I took the smallest screwdriver I had and was working it
when it slipped out of my fingers and into "the Abyss".
This is what I get for not knowing the difference between STUFFING the
rag in there and simply DRAPING it over the gaping hole. I moved the
rag to get at the cup better and lost the screwdriver down the hole.
I got my mini-maglight and spotted the thing hanging precariously
between the cam chains. Took a long retrieval magnet and poked it down
there, (it was sitting upside down, with blade up) and all that did was
allow it to slip down out of sight. I now have a jewellers screwdriver
way down deep in my engine.
What do I do now?

You may want to try another tool made for grabbing stuff in tight spots. It looks like your magnet deal but has a pushbutton on one end and 3 little fingers that pop out and open up as you push the button. As you release the button, the fingers will retract and grab the item. Napa has them. If that don't work, you can take off the left side cover and expose the bottom of the cam chain. It is detailed on doohickey repair help sites. Best of luck. The only true expert is the one that has made all the mistakes.
