Per the FAQ and various postings I ordered some XR650L vibration dampening mirrors for my A10. Unfortunately they don't fit. They have 8mm stems while the KLR's look like 10mm. Are people out there using some adapter or are you mounting just the Honda mirror case to the original stems? Maybe Honda recently changed the XR650L part (I didn't specify a year when I ordered)? Please advise if this set up has worked for you. Another guy with a KLR got burned by the same thing 3 days ago at my dealer (4 days after I ordered mine; too late for me). Whatever the case, the FAQ needs to be updated with more or different info. Also, I just saw the '04 KLR brochure and they only come in RED! An anti-vibration bushing/mount (I don't think that's its official name) goes between the mirror and the mount. When you buy the whole mirror assembly, it comes with the bushing. You can buy both the bushings and the mirrors separately, too. With the bushings the mirrors fit fine. I put these mirrors on my KLR a couple of months ago. When I was ordering them the salesperson (thankfully) asked whether I wanted the whole assembly or just the mirror. -Lujo Chris Bales wrote:

Yup, It is all put together, and looks like a KLR again. I just got the hand gards on yesterday. I have to go to pick up the "picture disc" this evening, so they should be posted tomorrow, or tonight. All I am waiting on is the Corbin seat from Fred. I have to add up the total damage, but an estimate is, I repaired the broken stuff, got toys that weren't in the insurance estimate(tires, seat, GPS, PD nerf bars) and still cleared about $600.00. Oh, and the headlight does point forward. Fireman Ed A17
