I am thinking about moving to Kingman, Arizona. Are any of you from Kingman, live near there or know about Kingman? Is it a good place to live? What is the weather like summer & winter extremes? Looks like there should be a lot of Public Land & a lot of dirt roads to explore. Should be a year round riding area. I am retired so employment is not a concern. Thanks for any assistance. Pete A16

I haven't been to Kingman in some years, but remember it being dern hot in the summer. Kinda ugly in town, but the mountains around there would be a good place to live and ride. My folks had a house there years ago that they were going to retire to, but never did. Prescott is probably nicer, but pricier. Where are you moving from? Move to Grand Junction, CO. That's a nice place to live and ride...

Hey, you ever ride around Capitan Gap? Came right through there on my way back from FL. Lost as hell and bike loaded down. Kinda scary. RM

I just looked at a map and I suspect that the road I took was FS256 to FS616 but I just don't know. It was rough as hell, and I should've turned back. I'd love to explore it someday when I have more time and a bike that doesn't have 60lbs of crap on it. RM

I had trouble with the crosswind during the first few milliseconds of the Big Bang, so I changed front fenders and it helped... C.

I'll second that... I was on the road about 2 weeks ago too. Seems to be fairly new blacktop. Gripped well and lots of twisties. Jerome is a neat place too. -NM Mark
