Once you try the STP fix. Give me a shout and I'll work out a deal for fixing
your clutch. Tappy valves are happy valves. If out of spec, re-adjust.
Super valve lash Snake oil does not exist.

I have never had clutch problems with my KLR (2001 32K miles) I have
run STP and Molly in the motor with no clutch slip or damage. there
are others on this list who also use Molly and STP.
But I will NEVER use Slick50. DuPont doesn't recomend their Teflon
being used in engines because it causes bearing damage. That
statement use to be on their corporate website

I recently posted about my misfortune while replacing my doohickey
titled "I Want My Doohickey to Stand At Attention". Well...someone
from this list responded offline with the following:

We traded another e-mail or two than:

What a deal! I can't thank this guy enough. But I too ended up
with an extra spacer. One from my local Kawasaki dealer who had to
order the part and one from this good Samaritan. So now it's my
turn to pay forward.
If some poor guy/gal happens to make the same mistake while
replacing their doohickey, shoot me an e-mail, and I'll mail it
direct. Free of charge. It's still in its original unopened
package.

Good article on PTFE (Teflon) based aditives such as Slick 50 at:
http://skepdic.com/slick50.html
Links to additonal articles are at the bottom of the article. some
are inactive.
