them?

I bought my bike used. And even though I test rode it before buying
it, I encountered this same problem while on a long ride my first day
out. The problem seemed to happen when I had the throttle open for
long periods of time. And I can tell you that it is no fun when you
are in the far left lane of some highway doing 80+ mph and your
engine decides to sputter and die.
After draining my float bowl several times, the final solution to the
problem for me was draining the entire gas tank. After pouring the
gas into a large container, I could see a handful of little grains of
sand in the gas. After putting clean gas back into my baby, she never
had another problem.
So, if you encounter this problem again in the future, you'll know
what to do.
