Todd: I am using to sources to my "about 10% high" number. - GARMIN GPS on the bike - GearCalc software calculations (this assumes that the electronic tach is accurate) GearCalc and the GARMIN GPS match. Sorry about you ticket, Pat Austin, TX

Pat The standing behind my statements is checking gps speed vs speedo vs Arkansas state troopers radar readings. I was at a gas stop/resturant in the Ozarks and ended up in a discussion about gps's with the troopers there. And was telling them about a difference in straight flat roads vs uphill/downhill differences in the amount my speedo deferred from gps readings. One of the troopers couldn't see where it would make a difference. The other agreed with me on the theory that from above the distance I would travel would be seen as less. So we ended up on a long hill outside of town and they did readings of me going up hill and down hill ( which readings were the same) then found a flat strech and did the same thing at the same speed and rpms. This convinced myself and them that there is a difference. Though slight. Andy Chesley Jennings, La.
