Hi there, All - I'm looking to replace the stock seat on my 2002 KLR650 and wonder what others have found that works well for long distance riding. I also have a 29" inseam, so something that sits a little lower would be nice too. Thanks, Clyde

I've ridden the KLR out there before. My wife and I go there every year. We rent a house in what they call 4x4 city. Its called Tranquility, the house that is. Great house for up to six and really cheap. It was on our vacation there last year that I had to go back home for a mid-week summer school class. Great practice for sand riding. Be careful when riding in the wash zone. There are a few places where even that wet sand will drop out from under you if you don't keep your momentum up. Anyway, on my return I got to within 100yrds of the house and washed out the front end and really messed up the old collar bone. Worst thing is the whole family was watching from the third floor deck. How embarrassing!! Anyway, it was great fun till then. You can go pretty much anywhere you want as long as you don't slow down too much, and watch out for the 4x4 ruts. I believe I was running Distanzias then too. Joe S. in NC
