>Blank. Thanks Zack, for your well thought out response to the list's resident Bible thumping homophobe from Texas. Unfortunately, this disabled unemployed Hillbilly with too much free time has figured out how to use a keyboard to spew drivel through an Internet connection. Somehow it ends up on our precious list. I come to this list for escape, not to hear Rush Limbaugh regurgitated.

gps, palm pilots, and handsprings

I have a Handspring Visor Pro, which I hooked a gps unit to last year. I never used it. Mapping is still limited from the internet and I find without the full spread of a map it is hard to get the big picture. I still use a compass that I velcro to my tank bag. I do use the Visor for notes though on areas that I find. Just so I can remember where I have been while wondering around OKlafreakinhoma. I also use a combination of mapquest and advantgo to download road directions. They of course don't take the routes I generally find myself riding on the KLR, but in those instances where I am actually trying go somewhere without exploration it is good.
