cross posting

Fellow DSN listers. This is a message that I also posted at the MADS
list. It is a one time activity and will not be repeated unless
requested. I apologize for not using NKLR. I wanted to ensure that
all members received this particular message. It will not recurr.
I must have some kind of brain disorder because I don't see the
problem with cross posting. I was sending messages and asking
questions of five different dual sport lists.
American_DualSport_Riders, DSN_klr650, Dualsportriders,
KLR_Adventure, and MADS_klr650. It seemed a lot easier to me to send
the same message to all five groups instead of retyping the darn
message all the time. But, since everyone complained so much, I
stopped and found a different way to do it.
Also, if you disagree with me. Please talk it out with me. The
intolerant behavior I have been subjected to recently, by being
blocked, or rejected, or toyed with, or put down, or misquoted,
really doesn't feel very good. I'd like to see how all the MADS and
DSN listers behaved after having Lyme Disease for 5 years, having
those little monsters eat at your nerves, your brain, your spinal
fluid. Then having to live on 3/4 of a dozen medications several
narcotic, one of which was morphine. Be forced to give up your dream
career because your body couldn't do it any more. I don't want
special treatment, and I don't want pity. Some understanding, and
tolerance would be nice.
I have been on the KLR list since it wasn't a list, 1994. It was just
a few KLR riders and Bob H. talking back and forth. In the past five
years of having this disease and medication problem, only 3 listers
have ever asked me how I was doing. Marshall in Shreveport, Pat in
Austin, and George in Escondido. Now, considering our numbers, I
think that is pathetic. I'm always checking in with injured, hurt, or
displaced listers. Maybe I care more about people than people want to
be cared about. Maybe I have lost my mind and gone loony. I don't
know for sure these days. Yet, as long as I'm alive and can get on my
feet, I will ride a KLR650 and I will do everything in my power to
stay on these lists, and help others if I can.
Just so no one gets angry, I want to tell you that I am going to copy
this message and post it on the DSN and MADS list. This will be a one
time activity.
Sincerely,
Jim Sherlock
