1+2) it's not a rally, it's a "gathering". something about permit problems with the BLM. it's held in moab. during those few days there will be some informal get-togethers for food/drink/comraderie, including friday night at eddie mcstiffs. it's on main street. you can't miss it. moab's kind of small. especially when stuffed with 150 klr's. 3) nobody still young enough to ride a bike should miss moab. 4) think "liquids"... _pete -----Original Message----- From: Lloyd Rauschkolb [mailto:elfrederick@...] Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2001 12:11 AM To: DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Moab Rally Please excuse my ignorance. After being a touring rider all my life, a recent dualsport ride to Mexico has gotten me all worked up about dualsport riding, and I want to attend the Canyonlands Rally 1-4 June. I've never been to Moab, Utah. The web site is lacking in details, or it assumes that anybody reading it would know where to go. Could somebody enlighten me on a few details such as: 1. Exactly where is the rally held? Is it based at a campground? 2. The website says that registration starts on Friday at "Eddie McStiffs" What and where is Eddie McStiffs? 3. Any other details not listed in the website would be most appreciated. Thanks. Lloyd Rauschkolb Gulfport, Ms. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Just heard that Moab is in the news. Looks like that at some unspecified time in the future, the Colorado River will be flowing through a huge radioactive slag heap somewhere near Moab and contaminate the water supply for 25 million people downstream. On the bright side, you'll be able to run Cataract Canyon at night by the glow of the river, and there may be some new species of fish cropping up in Lake Powell :O __Arden Kysely
