Hello All, My rear tire is looking pretty thin on my 02 KLR. Riding consists of nearly no off-road, but still want to be able to handle a dirt road when the occasion presents itself. Have been looking at the Dunlop 604 (mainly because it is the cheapest I have found still having the street oriented tread...been outta work since Jan. funds are a little tight) Primary concern is mileage, don't want another tire that is shot at 4k miles if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance Jamie Poquoson VA

I picked up a pair of 604's this spring in order to make my KLR more street oriented. I have been very happy with the switch. They have very good road grip, and provide much less rolling resistance than knobs. They do make stopping a little easier on the road also. They are not dirt tires as you can guess, but they do handle an occasional dirt road and get you where you need to go, but you do have to be cautious not to horse around to much in the soft stuff. Hope this helps you out. bAlex

I put a rear D604 on a couple of years ago, and took it off after a couple of thousand miles. It was very little worn, due to the hard rubber compound. I took it off because it had poor traction on the street, no doubt also due to the hard rubber. Dreas

Just inspected my chain tensioner...anyone know what the fastner torques are for the cover?
