Hi everyone:
I am seeing a whitish discoloration on the olive green finish of my KLR650, on the front and rear fender, side panels, etc. I know is a dual purpose bike but I like to keep it shine and clean. I only use it for the weekend rides and to go to work once in a while. Any suggestions

Lots of armor-all seems to help. Mine was looking
pretty rough after an arduous journey so I soaked it
in armor-all, wiped it off, and she is loking pretty
decent (for a dual sport).

David,
I'd suggest keeping it out of the sun (inside, under shade, or
covered), and coating it with a UV protective polish frequently. I
feel the same way about my KLR, so whenever I park it outside I throw
my gloves over the instruments to keep the needles and instrument
markings from fading. My friend's A12 has less miles that my A11 but
has been stored outside while mine's been garaged. I know which one
I'd rather ride.

Actually I have seen Andy's KLR and it's pretty sweet, He did it as a
project bike and everything that was broken when his 15 year old
looped it he replaced. He has MANY upgrades for it.
