Where are different length lowering links available? I have found 1.5, 2 and 3 inch. I only want to lower .75 or 1 in. I know that's not much but thats all I need to get firmer footing on the slick stuff. I can get them custom made at a friends machine shop for $80. But he 45 minutes away. I have to buy and pick up a 20 ft. piece of steel in a different direction. Take the steel to the shop and then return the next day to pick up the links. Leaving me with over 18 ft. of steel and lots driving time. Thanks for in help. Harvey Ride far and prosper

Harvey, Don Beck's got the best selection of sizes I've seen. I've got (2) different size sets of his..3/4 & 1 inch drops. I've also tried a set of the Quality R&D 1.5 inch drops. Don includes a do it yourself sidestand lowering kit. To top it all..his prices are the best. -Scott A14 "thunderdog" Sorrento, Fl In a message dated 3/21/02 6:29:31 PM Eastern Standard Time, farrider55@... writes: << Where are different length lowering links available? [snip} Sorry this one caught my attention.. I agree used whatever you use, but honestly a push mower ? I have had the same 2.5hp push mower for like 15 years, and expect it to run a really long time still, do not plan on using it much now, bought a riding mower with pressureized oil system with filter. Anyhow this 15+ yr old mower normally starts with a pull or two, (always use the primer however, no choke or throttle controls) and when I do change the oil it gets whats on the shelve at that time, typically 10w30 or 10w40 Penz. All I typically ever use is Pennzoil in all vehicles I own. Even my snowthrower gets Pennzoil. As others have pointed out, really dont think the brand or type really matter all that much, as long as you change it fairly often. I almost never change before 5000 miles on my Vortec V-6 in my truck, which is pretty often lately, but again its almost always at highway speed, so the engine fully warms, it dont do alot of short hops which will kill any vehicle even with often changes. Just my $.02 worth Duden
