Hey Everyone,
At the insistence of my friend Mark (Tengai 650), I have decided to
finally check out this list again. I just wanted you all the know
that the advice I got from the old KLR list (which I see is still
populated by many familiar names), was instrumental in helping me
prepare for my trip from NY to Ushuaia 2 years ago. Thanks for that.
Mark said someone posted the other day asking for my opinion on the
Progressive Suspension rear shock I mauled for over 22,000 miles on
my trip. Well, it's a fantastic piece of equipment. I just wanted to
know that if anyone has any other questions about gear, trip planning
to South America, or whatever, I would be happy to offer it, and in
some small way pay back what you guys did for me.
By the way, you guys may be happy to know that this list is actually
mentioned in the book I have coming out in May. It's becomes a topic
in the book because my riding buddies and I actually ended up staying
in a lister's house in Panama.

Welcome back and I, for one, look forward to hearing about your trip
and how the KLR performed on your journey. Do you have a website?
