The people who complain about buzzy Connie's are not KLR riders! We know buzzy. I know that a lot of Concours riders install higher bars and and footpeg lowering kit. Seriously, I have long lusted after a Concours and probably would have bought one instead of the KLR if I could have afforded it. In all likelihood my next bike will be either a Connie or a DL1000. Well, since new Transalps aren't an option in the US.... Seriously, an Africa Twin continues to be my main object of lust, but again it suffers from the Not Imported Here disease. Ralph

I just remember that you wanted a Transalp as a 40th birthday gift to yourself. There's one available in my town. Mark B2 A2 A3

Amen to that. The Africa Twin would be about the perfect backroads and dirt roads bike here in AZ. I should probably be looking for a Connie for my next bike, but I've been seduced by the new ST1300. That's probably going to cost about 1.9 Connies with ABS when they show up this summer. Jett

Ralph Ralph E. Hanson 99 KLR 650 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have tried the Concourse, good mileage eater, good wind protection, stable enough if you do not push it too much in the corners but it is a very boring ride. I would consider the DL1000 to be a much better choice from the specs and power characteristics from a V-twin. Gerry [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Regarding corners, I don't think the person who took this photo http://www.concours.org/scrapbook/pronto2a.jpg was too bored. :) -Lujo

Gerry, I have considered a Connie too. What makes a bike a boring ride to you? Brad
