SHIT!!!!!!!
Last night I figured I'd go up to the movie store and rent a movie.
So I took off. Stopped at a red light I see the store in the near
distance and wonder what movie I'm going to rent. Light turns green.
Accelerate out of first, shift into second, acclerating ... All of a
sudden the bike popped out of gear (and of course the tach is now
almost redlined) and before I could pull in the clutch, I hear the
most painful grinding sounds coming out of the transmission. I pull
in the clutch and think, "Well at least this bike is tough". This
proved not to be the case as I released the clutch and now heard was
was a whining type sound. This lasted only a few short seconds and
then the rear end locked up. With the clutch in is still doesn't roll
cleanly. I had to remove the chain and push the bike home. Oh yeah, I
didn't even get a movie.
So now what? My KLR is a Y2K model and the warranty is up?
Do you think I can still get warranty?

The clutch is still functional, I cannot change gears though.

how much is it worth

Listers,
I am looking to sell my KLR650A13 . It has done 6800 miles and is in
excellent condition. It has not been modified at all and has been ridden 95%
on the road. Since I got my ZX6R the KLR hardly gets used so it is a waste.
I live in the California Bay area so what sort of price could I expect to
get for it.
there is a picture of it on my old website (does Geocities ever delete them
???)
