I don't think you'll ever be sorry you bought a KLR, (the availability of support for it on this list should advance it to the top of the list.) On the color scheme, I don't have any personal experience, but someone just posted a link of a KLR for sale that was red, and I don't believe they ever came painted the way that one was. It looked pretty good, too.
