While doing a valve job, I noticed that one of the valve cover bolts was stripped. No big deal. Well I had it fixed with a new thread but when I tightened it I snapped the post that the bolt threads into. This is a big deal! Now my question is. The post is fairly deep and it looks as though I can re-tap new threads in the bottom of the post which appears to be solid and use a longer bolt? Is this possible and or are the any suggestion. PS. besides the stripped bolt the valve job was easy. Mitch, San Bernardino __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Safest place to park in the East Village is 3rd St, headquarters for the Hells Angels NYC. Lowest crime rate in all of NYC precincts. Your bike should be safe there.
