"Yesterday a gas station attendant mumbled something about fire marshall giving the go-ahead for motorcyclists to pump their own gas after the first of the year. (Currently in Oregon you must allow an expert in the field to fill your auto and motocycle). Anybody else heard any details? Guess I should have taken out my earplugs" Yes, it's called "assisted serve". Our local ABATE and BIKEPAC groups got it signed into law. Affective 1/1/2002 , the attendant can legally hand you the nozzle and you can pump your own gas. Most stations are already relaxing the rules. I hear some of the "classic" car groups got behind this one also. West Eugene, OR. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
