My A11 had a funky surging at 4000 rpm, so I installed a Stage 1 kit
and a K&N filter. The surge is gone and the bike runs fine and gets
great mileage, but still isn't quite as crisp as my old A1 (with no
carb or pipe mods).

stoppies
Yes , I have done stoppies with the stock front tire. One was
unintentional, but since I have been practicing. Now with a steel
line it is much easier. I think the tire has enough grip, I've done
it on loose dirt with a knobbie on my DR, the brake pads are a little
anemic though.
