I wanted a spare key for my 2000 KLR-650.
Checked with the Dealer; he could'nt make one and told me
that my only option was to order it through Kawasaki for a cost
of $15.00. That seems way too expensive for a key.
Has anyone out there found a cheaper way to get a spare?
Thanks
Steve

I've done this a couple of times now, remove the lock from the triple clamp
and take it to the dealer. They have the ability to cut a new key right there.
Remember that this one key works for the ignition, gas cap, and helmet lock.
