scuff removal
I just ignore it. That's the whole point of plastic with molded-in color.
It's so nice to not have steel fenders and pressed-steel headlight brackets
etc.
You could sand the scratches with a very fine grade of sandpaper. This might
also dull the surrounding area. You could use something like 400 or 600
grit, which would almost polish the plastic and will take forever.
You are aware that spending more than half an hour on this practically
guarantees you'll drop it on the same spot?
