leaking waterpump...

Hi Guys,
over the last day or so I've noticed that water is coming from the little hole on the underside of my water pump. I guess that a seal has gone but, does anyone know whether i can replace this by just removing the waterpump cover or do i need to remove the whole of the right-hand crankcase. These little puddles are making a mess of my garage floor

Many thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong here list, but just the water pump cover removal
does not expose the hole, the whole right case needs to come off to get to
that oil seal on the water pump shaft. Fred has all the parts needed for the
job.

16-toot sprocket review

Something I've thought of for a while is it would be nice if Kawasaki
could modify the KLR transmission to be a 6speed with low gear being
equivlent to a 14 front sprocket and 6th gear being equivalent to top
gear with the 16 tooth front sprocket. And since I'm advising
Kawasaki on how to improve the KLR (being such an expert - heavy
sarcasim, grin!). It would also be nice if they could put a
stronger/better front brake caliper on.
