Hello to all of you wonderful KLR people. I have to get a new rear tire and I think I have decided on the Kenda K270. Does anyone know what size the stock rear 130/70-17 translates to in Kenda's sizing scheme? Have I listed the correct size for the rear? I found the number at the Kaw web site since I am not at home. They measure their tires as 4.60 X 17 or 5.10 X 17. If the larger one will fit is there any problems with going with the wider tire? Off list replies are fine. Robb- The K270 on my KLR rear is a 5.10-17 with a 3.00-21 up front. If you ride in sand, there's a wider K270 available for the front. 3.25-21 I think. Lister CA Stu has one. I've not had any trouble with the 5.10 and have definitely put it through it paces.
