Too late, the Garmins have been shut down. They were listed at $99 but
they must have caught the mistake. This happened last year as well.

Call me old fashioned, but paper maps don't need electrical
supplies, can be dropped (if in water, lay it out to dry),
much cheaper, if they tear - tape them, and the only "problem"
I can see is having to make the positional calculations (which,
I guess I'm lucky, isn't much of a problem).

Hey, sorry to interject here, I know you all want to talk about
republican/democart stuff........
...........seems to me the most valuable use of a gps is to
get you out of a place you got yourself lost in, the same way you got
in there....
..........AND THAT is a valuable use, been lost myself,
not a good feeling. I was lucky, I am blessed with the ability to
make good guesses (I don't count on it, just hope for it).
Wasn't it Knot who bactracked to his brand-new jacket with his GPS?
Point taken, here in Sunny Californy.

Some of us travel in places that are not well mapped, Mexico for example, and
the GPS is a great help.

Yep, bummer. You can still get the GPS3+ on backorder for $99.98, eMap

===End Mess===
Also, the GPS3+ is waterproof, and Emap is not.
It *looks* like both are on Office Depot at the moment.
