Has anyone installed a Ventura rack system on their KLR? How do you like it? Are they available in the States? http://www.ventura-bike.co.nz Chris

I have one on my Blackbird and found it to be of excellent quality, blends right in, excellent. I had one on my FJ before that and it was well done as well. I have both the sport rack, which is low, and the higher touring rack that has a large bag that fits over it. I always have the smaller rack on but if I need to haul more I just slip the bigger rack onto it. At 10:42 AM 11/11/00 +0000, Christopher Glaves wrote:

Has anyone installed a Ventura rack system on their KLR? How do you like it? Are they available in the States? http://www.ventura-bike.co.nz Chris ______ They only make a system for the "C" model. I have an on-going dialogue with the US distributor and last year it seemed like we were close to getting him talked into developing a system for the "A" and "Eh" models. The dialogue just lapsed. Dual Sport News was sponsoring it with the promise of an extensive review of their products.... Kurt

Chris, the NX650 was sold in the USA as was the NX125(and maybe others?).I looked at a nice NX650, but didn't buy it.They had low street-type front fenders, and fairings like many DS bikes have now. I liked the concept of them, and it seems Honda may have been ahead of the pack when they made them. They didn't sell many, and they were not imported for long. Looked at a NX125 in a Honda shop a couple of weeks ago. Jon Neet Bonney Lake, Wa.
