				Dennis,

Your msg refers to a photo but I can't find a path in your msg to the photo
you are referring to. I have a high level of interest in some sort of a
crash guard which will keep the KLR650 off the rider (me) when the
inevitable happens. My interest is the result of a tucked front end leaving
asphalt onto gravel, the result being my foot trapped between the folding
footpeg (clever idea, saves footpegs, crushes feet) and the frame it folded
against. As I am currently convalescing for six weeks prior to being in a
walking cast, I am searching. I have talked to the guys at Dual Star and
they may consider manufacturing such a product. If this is what your photo
refers to I would be interested in a follow-up on or off list.

Is the petcock on the IMS tank in the same location as the stocker?
If so, how will you get the fuel from the shroud area to the carb?

eeewww, that color doesn't look very camouflagish. I'll
stick with the Olive green on my '01.

 Happy Trails,
www.happy-trails.com, makes a highway
peg/engineguard. I just put mine on the KLR and a set
of radiator guards on last week.

I ordered the tank from IMS a couple weeks ago. It will take awile
for them to make it since they dont have any in stock. I don't know
where the petcock location is or if there is one for each side. When
I get the tank I'll take some pictures and upload it for everyone to
see. May take a month or more for me to get it. I also noticed that
the shroud area is almost as low as the carbs fuel bowl. The last bit
of fuel may have trouble flowing into the carb by gravity.

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago also, with the G2 option. What color
did you order? G2 is supposed to be the darker green. It looks like it's a
well made tank, I'll figure out how to get all the fuel out later. One of
us should be able to work out a solution to this. Later.

Why not join the group that will include some COG riders as well.
Some of us belong to both.
Dave Morrow of Vancouver BC has scheduled this get together in
 Seattle after the show.
  I plan on being there.
