Hello, All - I've been lurking for quite some time, as I did on the Concours list, prior to buying a Concours. Great group, lots of useful info. I also have a Hardley-Ableson, and can address the question of turn signals not blinking when tiny bulbs are used. Go to yer local Biker's Choice, or any other Hardley accessories shop, and ask for a "Badlands Module" - probably the most expensive way to address the problem, but easy-peasy...
