Thought this was kind of amusing, and thought I would share it with the collective. My son called me on Saturday and let me know he was the proud owner of a new Dnya Super Glide Sport. He has always wanted a Harley, and finally found a good deal on one. Of course the next thing out of his mouth was "want to go for a ride Dad?" Sure I says, and I proceeded down to his apartment, and we sent off to explore some back roads around western Ft. Worth, TX. About an 2 hours into our trip, the new Harley ran out of gas on the main tank, so we started searching for a gas station. Found a 7/11 type store, and since the KLR didn't need any petrol yet, I just parked beside his Harley at the pump. While we were sitting there an EMT who was in the store walked over, and started asking questions about the KLR. He was interested in buying one, and we spent the next 20 minutes discussing its virtues. Needless to say, my son wasn't to amused....here he is with a new Harley, and all we are talking about is the KLR. Had a fun ride though, and we sure got a lot of people staring with their jaws wide open. I guess we did look like a real pair tooling down the highway.
