chain adjustment on klr600

This may sound stupid. However,I've checked the archives and can't find any
simple procedures for adjusting the chain correctly. I've had this bike for
a year now and the chain is finally getting too loose. Just wondering what
is the simplest way to adjust the chain slack. I don't really understand the
procedure they state in the manual.

planetary alignment

Worked on my bike today and I forgot to tighten the nut holding my
Supertrap.
Needless to say, I no longer have the nut, spacer, bolt and the muffler and
pipe were about to fall off. I stopped at the local hardware store,bought a
nice chrome socket and a new
nut and bolt. Kind of looks custom with the chrome. Anyway I've split the
frame many times and never forgotten to reattach the muffler. I noticed a
lot of other listers having unusual problems.
I researched this and discovered Nostradamus predicted, in the year of many
zero's, the planets all would align. He predicted this alignment would suck
the limited mechanical
abilities from novice motorcycle mechanics. I hope this information helps
others feel good about themselves. I do. Thanks for the heads up Nosey baby!
