Nope, no false modesty. My riding in Baja is a lot of rough 2-track back
country roads but not usually the sort of tight single track trails I was
riding Saturday. While I have been motorcycling for over 40 years I started
dirt and dual sport riding only in the last few years. My dirt riding skills
are definitely in the "intermediate" range but as one of my dirt bike friends
pointed out there is no substitute for enthusiasm and I've got lots of that.
Maybe a bit too much as I have taken three good spills in the last four
weekends. I have a theory that doing an occasional big somersault down the
side of a steep hill keeps my spine limber and flexible.
