Bob, perhaps you or Gino could email the newbies you scared off the list and tell them it was a joke and they can come back now? I know there's at least one you chased off with your BMW prattle... ---o&>o--- Sarah Barwig sarah@...

hoax and I'm sure Gino would also. Arne, are you at liberty to divulge those email addresses? I set up my admin to let me know when someone subscribes or unsubscribes. While I can't tell "why" a few left, on the assumption that the banter had something to do with it, I'll forward a list of those who unsubbed to Gino off-list. He can explain what happened, and if they left because of him, come back. Good idea Sarah. > Okay, I'll come clean. My name is Bob Donaldson and yes, Gino put me up
to this. I don't own a BMW, although I do like them. I own a KLR650 of 1996 vintage. We hooked up a couple of weeks ago and he told me about the list. Hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings. I was all in good fun. I do apologize if anyone took offense. I'll be unsubscribing and re-subscribing under a better name.

Hi Bob, nice intro... About as original as it gets I'd say. =^) Gino eh? Well I think for a few of us, way down in the nether regions of our gut, we knew that, but hoped that it wasn't as we were really enjoying the spectacle. On that note, I have to say hats off to all the insultees. Your retorts were well written, well thought out, would have been devastating to a "real" person of reasonable intelligence. They were also reserved. In this everyone showed excellent restraint, which in my opinion translates into a real respect for the list/community we have here, and the integrity we have as people. Regards to all, Arne
