Don't be so hard on yourself. There's no such thing as a stupid question.

Look here in the archives: http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 and enter search phrases such as "sight glass"; "oil level"... and report back to us. Man am I glad I'm the first one to post a response to this one! lol Cheers, Arne

Dust, YOU KNOW BETTER!!! Now behave yourself. I like a heated debate as much as the next guy, but that horse is dead. The archives are the only place to find this information. I too had these questions and the archives were very helpful. I'll tell you though while reading a couple of those posts... I could just picture a pump shotgun getting chambered. Lighten up guys... breathe deeply... smile big and relax, think of a happy place. But don't start trading on-line. LaterZ Dash At 02:14 AM 4/26/00 CDT, Dustin McCarty wrote:

I say just fill the damn thing up to the top of the sight glass (2.5 US quarts) and be happy. My reasoning? 43,000 miles of trouble-free operation while doing so. -Tom '96 KLR 650
