the standard application is to use XRL 650 mirrors...you need the mirror and base which is rubber mounted. Fred can get 'em for you. Some of us have had nearly spectacular results others very little change. Kurt

I tried the rubber mirror mounts from JC Whitney posted by a lister.  Improved the vibration characteristics by dampening the buzz somewhat (the mirrors folks, I don't drive that way) Todd A9

After my mirrors were riped off in Guanajuato, MX, I bought some generic Chinese in Leon. $12 for both; they've worked fine. Bogdan ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

In one of my moto catalogs there were replacement mirrors with built in vibration dampeners. One of the sets looked exactly like the ones my dad has on his '98 V-Star. These mirrors are excellent. When riding his bike I can see just as good in the mirrors as my truck mirrors. Ill find out what cat it was in. The mirrors on my KLR are only good for flossing or picking a bugger. -----Original Message----- From: Bogdan Swider [mailto:bogdanswider@...] Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2000 12:39 AM To: InWoods13@...; dan_iss@...; DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: Re: [DSN_klr650] mirror vibration Anyone have success

[snip] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ben, In additon to buying both manuals (KLR600 base & KLR650 supplemental), I'd suggest buying the 'parts manual' microfiche (less than $4 [USD] from the Kawi dealer, when I bought mine 2 years ago). As a bonus, the parts fiche includes the "Assembly & Preparation" manuals which another lister said the dealers ignore! I bought a fiche viewer at a local thrift store for $8. Most viewers have only 1 magnication setting (some have dual settings). I highly recomment buying the parts fiche & a viewer. Bring the fiche with you to see if it matches the viewer's magnification. If they don't match, you'll get an image that's to large for the screen or an image that is too small to be useful. Professor '95 KLR650 A9 Federal Way, Wa [USA]
