I was just venting... that's un-stressing. If it made me angry I would not be here posting right now... I would be out riding in the woods looking for baby rabbits to run over. Now I need to find my label maker then off to all the Home Depot's to label the hitch pin drawers 'Bridge Clip". I put a zip-tie around the open end of the hitch pin (aka hitch pin clip :-), just for my paranoid self to not worry about it coming out. Chris

The new front axles have no cotter pin, but I think mine would be nearly fine if I lost it, as there are 4 pinch bolts in addition to the nut. -Jeff Khoury

That's what I do, too, but I'm way more likely to lose one when I pull it out to adjust the chain or change a tire. BTW, I have always heard them called Jesus clips or R clips.
