Chris,
I tried what you're suggesting, ONCE, on my old SR500.
Problem comes up when it starts and you don't get the clutch lever IN in time (UNLESS you can run as fast as your NOW RUNNING bike can go in gear...!).
Suggest that having your butt on the seat when it starts is a VG idea!
