At last, a target to aim for! A16 with 21063 miles The last few miles were at the Texas Adventure Ride in Junction Texas, which will occur next year at the end of April. Enjoy the pictures and prose. Oh rev, I claim the slowest speed (5mph) injury accident (left ankle fracture) award. These KLRs are a little heavy. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17432 Tony G. Perhaps, Riding buddy, AJ Clifford here in Aberdeen, SD had a tipover in the parking lot...broke the R. tibia, fibula just above the ankle, and the long metarsal in his R. foot. His 'prize' was one tibia length titanium rod, one three inch plate, 13 screws, 5 pins, all for the bargin price/speed of about 5mph (his words, not mine). The rod comes out in Aug, and he will be riding again ~4m later. As my orthopedic surgeon stated: "Apply just the right [twisting] pressure, and it will break. Speed is not necessialy a factor." Yep, you can 'have' first place...as it is highly over-rated. ;~D revmaaatin. -on duty- 911 Careflight Aberdeen, SD> > Oh rev, I claim the slowest speed (5mph) injury > accident (left ankle fracture) award. 07' 4800 miles, and for the injury list I still bounce pretty good but
I tend to leave some skin behind here and there.

rev, I was making fun of myself, and I hope I didn't hurt your friend's feelings, his injury sounds terrible irrespective of speed. I can offer him the same prize I got, a T-shirt from the 2007 Texas Adventure Ride (I have an extra), if an XL will fit him, so he can look forward to riding again, I can scarcely imagine how far away that seems to your buddy right now.> > > > http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17432 > > > > Tony G. > > A16 > > Fort Worth TX > > > > Perhaps, > Riding buddy, AJ Clifford here in Aberdeen, SD had a tipover in the > parking lot...broke the R. tibia, fibula just above the ankle, and > the long metarsal in his R. foot. Tony, This is A.J., revmaaatin was wrong I've had 15 screws, 3 pins 1 plate, and 1 rod. As of 6 weeks ago I am down to the rod and 2 screws. At one point I thought I would never be able to ride again, but things are looking good for December of this year!! Here is a link to some x-rays. http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20343 The leg looks bad but its the foot that causes the most problems for me. The bike came out of it fine, just twisted the bars a bit, no biggy.> he wants / needs it. > > > Tony G. > A16 > Fort Worth, TX >

I try to keep my speed below my IQ.
Some people don't mind having to wait........long line-ups at times though. (VBG)
