Ah, that's no big deal! If it bothers ya', just let the bike sit on the sidestand for a while. Changing the filter while the bike is on a centerstand will result in that much coming out. Yea--no big problem! Now get out there and put some more smiles on that bike! -- Blake Sobiloff http://sobiloff.typepad.com/blakeblog/> http://sobiloff.typepad.com/klr_adventure/> San Jose, CA (USA) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Kevin, CAUTION: runonsentencefollows You would think so, however, looking at Fred's list of available parts, it 'appears' that the oil tube also fits nicely in the trash can (for those who didn't know it was stuck in the filter). shrug. and from what it sounds like, it fits in the trash can, more often than folks like to admit...I still got mine--thanks to comments on the list, like, HEY--Watch for that oil tube stuck in your oil filter and don't throw it away. (But if you do, Fred has them faster, than any Kawi dealer!) revmaaatin.

"dealer" threw mine away on first "warranty service checkup" (total bullshit). turned out to be a good thing. found this forum and learned to do my own maintenance. thanks, listers. was thinking of upgrading to an 08, but the above experience was enough to steer me clear of that "dealer". that "dealer" is also our harley "dealer" here on maui. the money they charge for maintenance on those "things", is absolutely astonishing. on the subject of useless poser vehicles: part of my commute is on a rough asphalt road. a hummer h2 with 20 inch rims and 1 inch sidewall tires was jamming up traffic yesterday. kids in hyundais were flipping him/her off as they passed. wonder if he had a spare inside that "thing"? end of rant. larry larry

Fred, Hmmm. Why would that matter? Curious as to why you would ask that question...are you thinking there is an adverse effect on the clutch plates? revmaaatin.

mesh armored jacket--recommendation

I wear my Joe Rocket Meteor all year. It has good ventilation for summer and a good liner for cold weather. IT also has shoulder, dlbow and back hard protection. This is my 3rd year and it is wearing just fine.
