I've got one too, the Ruger 10-22 is a really nice little rifle. It came with two, stock, 10 round magazines and two banana magazines. I've never regretted purchasing it. Plinking's a lot of fun, there's just nowhere to go do it anymore around here. Range shooting just ain't all that much fun. I also have a Ruger Mark II target pistol that's the perfect plinker. Ya, the 10-22 sure is a neat little rifle. It's the first firearm I ever bought; got it when I graduated from college. I gave my stainless one to my son for Christmas this year and I my original blued one waiting for my other son who will get it 2 years from now. To fill the void, I picked up a .22 cal conversion kit for my Mini-14 (for $23 in a super-deal-scheme-special at Cabelas, originally $130!). This makes the Mini-14 cheap to feed and keeps the wear & tear low. I was surprised how well it works. I've run 350 rds through it so far with not a single jam or misfeed.

At our local public range, you can get away with stacking clay targets at the auxiliary range when the main range is closed 2 days a week. We otherwise go to a friend's farm and plink in their junk pile. I'll sometimes ride with a pistol and if I come across a random junk pile in the boonies, I'll line up some cans, bottles, etc and squeeze off a few rounds. Old appliances are fun to perforate too. trip computers

I wanted my trip computer to have the option of reseting my trip milage in 1/10's which I desire and need on some of my ramblings about the ozarks following roll charts, etc. Also quickly resetable to zero when I need that also. You don't have the resetable to tenths feature on any GPS I know of and not for many years on bike trip ometers. Maybe on my DRZ but have not learn it all yet on that much less the one on my KLR I mounted before comeing to work. I remem my '72 DT2 Yamaha enduro with the ometer that reset n tenths. One of the most fun bikes I ever had. Don't remember on the '76 xt500 yamaha > another one of my top fun bikes to own. Dang, hard to believe 30 years have run under the bridge since those two bikes.
