If I remember, Millerized's was Line-X-ed (urethane coated). Protected from the sun, but not the impact. Mark At 7:19 PM -0700 5/18/03, TONY CORNETT wrote:

I have a 2 inch tube mounted above the stock skid plate, using two pieces of 1 inch angle to the front motor mounts and 2 stainless U- Bolts through the flat sides of the angle holding the tube. --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Mark St.Hilaire, Sr" wrote:

Thanks, Devon, T Mark, Tony, Zrod, Joe and especially Mark S who provided pics for input on my question. Do I understand correctly that you need a tool to open the cap and access whatever you store in the pipe ? Bogdan

I use my belt. Just like you'd use a strap wrench, cept using your hand as the handle. That is if you tighten the caps too tightly. Mine didn't loosen the entire 8200 miles last trip, and didn't loosen on the fall in Feb. Still not loose, but loose enought open with my hands. millerized --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Bogdan Swider" wrote:

Over eight years of riding KLRs I have to say its the BMW crowd that has always given my bike a closer look. There is a group of BMW riders from Reno that do the same 1000 mile/24 hour rally I do and we have a friendly little competition going which I lead 3-2, I've beat them back 3 times out of five. In fact it was one of them that introduced me to the term that a KLR was 'poor-man's BMW'. Pat G'ville, Nv [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
