correction: klr fuel delivery

Right, Don, I owe you 2 cents. That would fit my definition of will not GO 5000 RPM. A miss is different. More like a momentary drop. Robert Wichert P.Eng. Once had a float needle that would not flow enough fuel to run at 60 mph for more that a few minutes and then the bowl would go dry. Needle tip looked great and resetting the needle higher only got me bowl overflow issues. Got back home and rebuilt the carb including new diaphragm/slide but not he needle. Still ran out of go until the needle was replaced. 2 cents, please? :-) Best regards, Don M On 6/8/2014 9:22 AM, RobertWichert robert@... If it won't GO to 5000 RPM, I'd be looking for carburation, but if it gets there and misses, I'd think electric first. Plug, plug wire, coil, primary connection to coil, wire from pickup, that sort of thing. In the ancient old, old days, you could put the ignition system on an oscilloscope (I know, apparently nobody does this any more) and look at the waveforms of the ignition system and help to find problems, primary or secondary. Or was this in a dream? Anyway, if you can find someone with such old fashioned equipment, that might help to pin down the problem. Robert Wichert P.Eng. dip your bike?

I sprayed the 20 mm ammo boxes with rubberized underbody coating which looks decent. Problem is that I want the bike to be more visible so will try the Pasti Dip and see. Apparently it pulls off if one needs to remove it so worth a try as shouldn't mean sanding it off. If it doesn't take rubbing in the knee area, I though I'd mask that area and spray it with the body coating as it makes a textured surface which would provide some knee grip. Several things on the go for a few days but hoping to get to it by the weekend.

The green doesn't look that far off of some of the old dirt bike greens which have always appealed.

I've heard mention of colored body coating in rattle cans but haven't been able to find. That would be appealing.
