klr rider missing in mexico

I would tend to believe that a mother would know her own son over what some Mexican news paper had to say.  This papers mention of this is the only report I can find and there has been nothing at all about any discovery on the Help Find Harry Facebook page.  In fact Harry s mother has created a petition for our President to speak with the Mexican president about Harry being missing when they meet in Mexico in about a month.   https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/president-barack-obama-please-help-find-harry-missing-january-252014/qxs9ylxX   I have to feel empathy to Harry s mother and friends since Harry could be anyone of us.  I would think there would be more concern on this list about this missing rider even if he wasn t an adventure rider and on a KLR650.  I see fellows like Harry very often in my shop and I can t say for sure that Harry might have been in my shop last summer.  I see guys all the time that have had a change at work and decide to see the world.  They buy a motorcycle and hit the roads to follow their dreams.  There are many riders coming through Moab and my shop heading south to Mexico and South America or heading north to Canada and Alaska.  We all know the risks involved in living our dreams and being out there in the world.  Sometimes bad things happen to good people and it is up to the rest of us to help make bad situations better when we can.  This is why I am trying to do my little part by spreading the word about Harry Devert.  You can believe he is not missing if you want but this does nothing to make Harry s family feel any better.  Harry s mother has mentioned several times that those that can should keep searching for her son.   I hope there is an answer soon as this has to be a living hell Harry s family is going through now. klr rider missing in mexico

When you Google Harry Devert, You SEE that Just 16 hours ago, CNN did a story on him to HELP FIND HIM. (An Adventurer) I do understand and agree MANY are placing the worse things they can to get FB post, like a  Burned child, & FB will donate 3cents for every "like". FAULST! And Bill Gates will donate a "pad" to everyone who likes. YA RIGHT. It IS SAD, how many WARPED people are in this world, taking away/ SHIELDING the help others would give if it were not for them and their DECEPTIONS.

Just to clarify something. I wasn't knocking the situation or saying his mother doesn't know. I should have explained better. My thinking was this, why are there so many people ready to spread false rumors when someone is trouble? It does get to the point that you don't know what is really going on. Oh, I m sure there are lots of places in Mexico safe enough but I d sure keep your eyes open in the not so safe areas right now.  Any time you travel and leave the comforts of home, you are on somebody else s turf and you just have to be more careful.  Like what is going on in Venezuela?  Sure seems like a lot of unrest in Central and South America lately.   Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com   [b]From:[/b] dave_westaway@... Problem is, you can't carry firearms in Mexico, especially if you are not a Mexican citizen. And all the bad guys are armed. Best to stay away unless in a tourist zone, and even then, it's iffy.
