cdi igniter for 08 klr
Why would you need a license?
Its your bike and you can sell the parts to who ever you want.
I am certain (cough) the riders here and else where are declaring 'capitol gains' income on their 4/15 forms.
OTOH,
If it looks like/smells like income tax evasion, shrug,
the FBI phone number is in your phone book,
just waiting to hear from you.
It is an interesting way to meet new people.
As we know, if the FBI is involved, they must be guilty of something. wink.
Just make sure you know how to close pandora's box once you open that can of worms.
revmaaatin.

I do it all the time.
I have 3 bikes in the barn at the moment that I am parting out.
They all had some cosmetic damage or other issues that made them worth more as parts than I could make fixing them up and selling them as riders...
If you have the time to part one out and sell off the bits, you can make twice the money on the parts you can sell.
The rest I bundle up and sell for scrap value. (frames and rusty rims etc)
I have a title to every one of them too if it matters.

Amazing. Does this prove the ALLEGEDLY fact that ALLEGEDLY all things
on E-Bay are stolen? I mean, really, a running bike is disassembled for
parts? Really? Nothing suspicious about that... Nothing at all.

I was thinking of an auto dismantler's license.
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vehindustry/ol/dismantler.htm
Or a business license. Not all states require a dismantler's license.
Do you have an EPA refrigerant card, Mark? Me too!

nut on innertube (new?/old thread)
When I was changing the tire and putting the nut on, I remembered an OLD thread, Asking what the nut is for.
But I do not remember a serious answer being given.
2 reasons needed for holding the stem.
1. when pressure is low, (riding sand etc.) a tire can/will spin on the rim, taking the tube with it, and may take the valve right on in.
2. while filling it, the nut holds it from going in. (only one hand needed.)
Remember growing up.
Most boys growing up tended there own bike tires, Whether it needed it or not. (NOT most likely)
In doing so, when a tire was flat, (Or we let the air out playing around.) We HAD TO HOLD the valve-stem TIGHT, with one hand, so it would not just push into the rim.
