Carb with an accelerator pump.
A diaphragm propels a charge of fuel into the intake when the throttle is opened rapidly.
The added burst of fuel minimizes any lag. Twist the throttle and get an instant response...

Good one DC-though I think is quals as KLR vs NKLR.
I looked at reusing the acid bottle; the rascals glued the lid on!
Instead:
I use a 'nose-syringe' for babies; Baby boogers throughly purged.
Very precise water control and eliminates the possibility of being daft, uh, mostly daft.
I also use a turkey baster to suck out the old brake fluid before adding fresh and purging the line the old fashioned way with 100% fresh fluid.

KLRs use a Keihin CVK40, with no accelerator pump. Harley big twins use a
Keihin CV40 *with* an accelerator pump.
I think the Keihin CV40 from a Harley would fit but you would have to futz
with the linkage:
