I have been waiting for Jeff S. to weigh in on the PVC valve. some pages explain why it works while anouther goes into detail on why it does NOT. I have no idea who these guys are and if they are just "Parts changers" as Trained service tech's, call those who Don't REALY know why they do it, but when you change enough something happens. ) Example if a tire is flat, "parts changes" Patch it with out understanding WHY it went flat?? A service technitian learns WHY, If a nail? remove the nail, THEN patch it. if the rim is causing it, fix that also. Mark (west Mich.) Rev, you picked the wrong weekend to come to the Cities. This Saturday's forecast is 66 and sunny, perfect for the tech day at Paul's house, perfect for a ride in the coulees afterwards.> > It was 49F with rain on Saturday--hoping to KLR East into the cities--and I had to take the cage (my lawyer's advice, "ARE YOU NUTZ--it raining") to Minn E Soata (Mn, MN) because some guy in Minn E Soata is doing a snow dance. cough. > To add insult to injury, after arriving home, it snowed most all day Monday in the central Dakota's at a balmy 36F. (Secretly glad for dry hands and feet when I arrive home at 0015 on Monday.) > I did those conditions 2 years ago--38F in snow, sleet, rain and high winds going West into White Sulfur Springs, MT; once is enough. > > One gleam of delight--if you can't listen to KLR tweety for 800 miles, then XM164 and intermittent wipers are a close 2d. It is also helpful to have Judd Jones feel sorry for you and buy you breakfast. I noticed he was smart enough to leave the bike parked as well.... > > Nothing better than KLR friends and hot coffee--even if it is just a morning of bench racing. > > revmaaatin. >
