I've done a lot of riding in the Texas Hill Country. El mucho deer. What I have notice between my BmW Gs that I had back then and my KLR with stock exhaust on both. On the Very quiet BMW I'd get withing 10 feet of a feed deer before it would notice me. On my KLR they would start looks at me at near 100 yards and be off and running by the time I got to about 50 yards from them. But what has happened on both bikes here in Louisiana and Arkansas where the forest get close to the roads, the deer come out of nowhere to get in front of you. I've run a supertrap over the years with the same results. Also run LeoVs on my ex DL1000 and the deer noticed it about as much as they did with the stock pipes. When the deer are running I don't think any kind of noise detours them. When they are being still and feeding, maybe the reverb of the exhaust of a single gets their attention more than twins or 4 cylinder bikes. after market pipes
I've purchased the improved suspension, but am considering a slightly louder pipe that does not require any jetting... Any suggestions?

DON'T replace your pipe - FIX Tweety! Go to the FAQs. (Basically 'poke' out the innards of
your muffler via the tailpipe opening with a big screwdriver.)

Anyone know where I can find good instructions and/or video on how to install lower links on my 07?

For a pre '08 KLR, 1" lowering links will get your feet on the ground with a 30 inch inseam. If you're heavy, though, you'll need a heavier spring too, because that will reduce your effective spring rate. _E [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
